Gluten Gloom


The commercialization of gluten-free food is in full gear. Sadly, like fibromyalgia, gluten intolerance has become a catch-all for what are probably much more complicated health issues. If a person’s gut is “leaky” it may be so inflamed that various foods – gluten, eggs, milk, etc. – will not be tolerated! But, that doesn’t mean that the particular food is the problem. And, sadly for the many people who are consuming gluten-free foods made with GMO ingredients, including refined white flour and sugar, the cure may be as unhealthy in the long run as consuming gluten. Many people don’t know that non-GMO grain products, if fermented, may be eaten easily by supposedly gluten-intolerant people. Followers of Weston Price dietary guidelines are able to eat grains they previously avoided.

More to come on the subject, which is very complex. In the meantime, ask questions when people tell you that you must give up foods containing gluten!
